There are moments in life when things feel overwhelming and we struggle to find the answers on how to move forward. Do you feel stressed, stuck, angry, anxious, or depressed? Are these things affecting your work or your relationships? I am a Counseling Intern who works collaboratively with you to find ways to help you feel better in a warm, open-minded, and safe environment. I work with you to help build on your strengths and develop new emotional and behavioral tools and skills.
I believe that the stories we tell ourselves shape how we view ourselves—whether we learned them as children, from the pressures of the culture around us, or from people who have influenced us along the way. Better understanding of why we think certain things can help us untangle how to move forward in more productive ways that make us feel better. When faced with challenges in life, you don’t have to figure everything out on your own. Talking with someone and working together in a supportive environment can be helpful in understanding what is happening and how to work towards a greater sense of well-being.
My approach is flexible, culturally sensitive, and aimed at you as an individual. In the first session you can see how it feels to work with me and at the end you can decide if you want to continue.
